Chelsea agree personal terms with Man Utd target in major blow to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s plans

Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with a Manchester United target ahead of the summer transfer window.

On the back of a disappointing 23/24 season, Chelsea parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino and replaced him with former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca.

After securing their new manager, the Blues will now be concentrated on adding extra quality to the squad as they look to climb up the Premier League table next season.

Looking ahead to the summer transfer window, it has been claimed that Chelsea have agreed terms with a potential new signing.

As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.

The report stated: “Chelsea have verbally agreed personal terms with Olise after originally doing the same last summer. It’s understood that Chelsea are now speaking to Crystal Palace regarding the scheduling of payments for his release clause as they push ahead to secure his signature.”

This could be a big blow for United as it was previously reported that Olise is high on the club’s wanted list as Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to overhaul the squad.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano also gave an update on Olise’s situation on CaughtOffside, he said: “It’s important to see what’s going to happen with Manchester United in terms of the manager because you always decide the top targets with the manager. Olise is a player they like and someone who’s been on the list for months but as we know, there’s also Chelsea.

“Olise remains one of the players Chelsea are closely monitoring and they consider him one of the targets for this summer after they were really close to signing Olise last summer.”

Romano added: “He’s [Olise] one of the names for United but it’s really important for United to make some room in terms of financials with Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

“They have to sell both players and they want to sell both players. I think how much they get from these two deals will be really important to see how much Manchester United will be able to invest on a winger and also other positions.”
