According to a military signal obtained by SaharaReporters, Captain J.O. Abalaka (N/15198) was traveling from Port Harcourt to his new unit at the operational headquarters of the Maiduguri Command in Borno State when he was intercepted and abducted along the Ekpoma-Okene-Lokoja road.
The signal reveals that while Captain Abalaka was driving his Toyota Corolla with his dog, the gunmen ambushed and kidnapped him, along with other travelers. However, the army captain displayed remarkable bravery and boldness, managing to disarm one of the kidnappers who was carrying an AK-47 rifle.
