Kogi State Governor Praised For Appointing Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim as DG Protocol as RATTAWU Seeks Support For Essential Needs

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo, has received high praise for his astute decision in appointing Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim as the Director-General of Protocol at the Government House. During a courtesy visit to the Director General in his office in Lokoja, the State Chairman of the Radio, Television, and Theatre Arts Workers Union,(RATTAWU) Comrade Haruna Isah, lauded the appointee as a seasoned professional, known for his competence and reliability. Comrade Haruna expressed confidence that Ibrahim would carry out his responsibilities diligently, captivating everyone’s attention with his exemplary performance.

Taking advantage of the occasion, Comrade Haruna Isah shed light on the challenges faced by the Union in the state, which encompassed important matters such as facilitating pilgrimage slot to Mecca and Jerusalem, acquiring a utility vehicle for the Union’s operations, as well as securing land for the construction of their secretariat.
Comrade Haruna urged the Director-General to leverage his influential position to expedite the fulfilment of these essential needs.

In response, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim, the Director-General of Protocol at the Government House in Lokoja, expressed his delight at the visit. He acknowledged Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers, exemplified by recent initiatives such as providing operational vehicles for the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, as well as numerous ministries and government agencies. The DG also noted the provision of an official vehicle for the newly appointed Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onu Edoka, as evidence of the Governor’s benevolence.

Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim assured the Union that he would use his authority to facilitate their visit to the Governor in due course, emphasizing his commitment to addressing the challenges they face.
