Transfer News: Dortmund ‘confident’ on Sancho, Liverpool’s double battle

Only a few days have passed since the Premier League season ended, but summer transfer window chat has already well and truly begun..

With the 2023-24 campaign wrapped up, most teams from the top flight can turn their attention to making new signings and splashing the cash. Before then, though, some clubs are making moves in the dugout.

At Liverpool,, new manager Arne Slot has now officially been appointed and plans are being made for the Reds’ squad. Chelsea need to make a new appoitment after announcing Mauricio Pochettino’s departure on Tuesday evening, and whoever replaces the Argentine will have work to do over the summer.

One club set to do so is Arsenal, who’ve been linked with acquiring a new striker in the form of Alexander Isak, although Benjamin Sesko and Brian Brobbey are two alternatives to the Newcastle talisman. Chelsea themselves could be similarly busy when they have their new boss, and they’re not the only ones.

Manchester United could also be in the market for a forward, as Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise continues to be linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford, though they’re not the only ones in for the young talent. United will have to offload players if they want to spend big, with Bruno Fernandes’ future up in the air amid interest from Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Al-Nassr, while Casemiro is another who could find himself on the move.

Stay tuned to the Mirror Football live blog throughout Tuesday as we bring you the latest transfer news from around Europe.
